In 1519, the Spanish explorer and conquistador Hernando Cortés decided he wanted to seize the treasure the Aztecs had been hoarding. After arriving on the shores of the Yucatan Cortés, he burned his ships. He eliminated any chance of retreat so the crew was forced to be all in. Today Coastline starts a journey through the Old Testament book of Judges. It’s a story with flawed heroes who don’t always obey the Lord. In fact, they generally fail to follow the Lord. A reoccurring theme in the book will be this: God wants lordship over all areas of our lives, not just some areas. Listen in as Pastor Neal Benson teaches on Judges 1 and our call to never stop short of what the Lord wants to give us!
In our final week of the You Asked For It sermon series, guest speaker, Joey Ross, tackles the subject of marriage and divorce. Listen in as we learn that marriage is a gift from God, and the grace of God is sufficient to cover and forgive every sin, heal every wound, and restore every broken relationship.
The world is blossoming with life around us! Trees push for the sun, grass stands tall, birds soar in the air, and humans hold hands as they walk. We see a unique story in Mark 10 where Jesus gives value to children. It was culturally abnormal for a Rabbi to spend time with children, but Jesus blesses them. Of all the stories Mark could share, he gave us this one to help us see how Jesus values life. Listen in as Pastor Neal shares about our need to let there be life!

You can ask any person over the age of fifteen if they know someone who has taken their own life and my guess is they would respond with a sorrowful: “yes.” Suicide leaves unanswered questions, familial gaps, and painful futures for many people. Listen in as Pastor Neal Benson teaches from John 3:16, John 10:10 and other Scriptures about how God is the author of life.

This Sunday we’re kicking off a nine-week summer sermon series called, You Asked For It. The Bible teaches us that God shaped each person. God created us. Think about every person you have had contact with in life - the guy speeding on the freeway, the lady in the airport, the kid in the store. Each of those people are created by God. Let me take it one step further, not just created, but created on purpose. God doesn't accidentally make people. God has a purposeful plan in creating each and everyone of us. Listen in as Pastor Neal Benson teaches on the importance of seeing people how God created them.
