  • Scripture: Acts 21:1-16
  • In the beginning of Acts Jesus gave clear instructions to His disciples to share the truth of God with those who were far from Him. Thus far in our study, the gospel message has spread from Jerusalem and as far as Greece. For the last couple chapters of Acts we’ve been following the apostle Paul as he strengthens and encourages the churches. For two years he has been focused on returning to Jerusalem to give an offering to the church. Paul’s visit to Jerusalem will soon come but first he must visit with some other believers. Listen as Neal teaches about the warning lights that marked Paul’s path to Jerusalem from Acts 21:1-16.

  • Scripture: Acts 20:1-38
  • Someone once said, “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.” That person is wrong. Our words hold major power. They can sway a person to make positive choices or negative choices. They shape our children, siblings and co-workers. In reality, words are more powerful than any stick or stone. This Sunday, Neal preaches on Acts 20 and talks about how Paul went to great lengths to encourage the church to stand strong in the Lord.

  • Scripture:
  • Most people make some sort of new year resolution. It might involve loosing weight, saving money or drinking less alcohol. For some reason, most resolutions aren’t accomplished. In fact, only eight percent of people complete their new year resolutions. The reason this happens isn’t lack of motivation; its because of a lack of discipline. Sometimes this is how our spiritual walk feels. We make great commitments but fail to follow up. This usually leaves us feeling guilty and shameful about what we’re not doing for Jesus. Listen in as Neal talks about how to grow spiritually in the new year at a pace that works for your life.

  • Scripture: Matthew 1:18-25
  • Christmas Eve is a time when we celebrate the birth of Christ. As we read the story of Christ's birth, we see that Joseph had a secret plan to divorce Mary. Thankfully, God intervened in a dream and encouraged Joseph to live a fearless life. Because Joseph was a man of character, he obeyed the message the angel delivered. Listen in as Neal teaches about God’s revealed plan for us to live a fearless life in Jesus.

  • Scripture: Luke 1:26-8
  • The angel Gabriel broke into earth to deliver a divine message to a young woman in Nazareth named Mary who had been chosen by God for a special task. Mary's response to his message was one of submission. As we look at the fourth advent candle, it's a time to talk about love coming to earth in an amazing way. Listen in as Neal teaches on Luke 1:26-38 and reminds us that love is the defining mark of a Christ follower.

  • Scripture: Luke 2:8-20
  • Today we are in the third week of our Christmas series. We’ve titled this series Advent and are looking at the five words associated with Advent. Our community experienced major turmoil with the Thomas Fire so it’s no coincidence that we are studying the word “joy.” The message of joy was given to a group of outcast, despised men who were the first people to visit Jesus in the manger. Listen in as Neal teaches from Luke 2:8-20 about letting the joy of Christ fill your heart this Christmas season.

  • Scripture: Isaiah 7:13-14
  • As we approach the Christmas season, we’re taking a look at Advent. The first candle on the Advent wreath is traditionally known as the Hope Candle or the Prophecy Candle. To understand the need for hope, we have to remember a time in our life when we’ve been hopeless. During the time of Isaiah the prophet, the nation of Israel felt hopeless as foreign nations threatened them. Listen in as Neal teaches about the role of the prophet and how the arrival of Christ brings hope to a hurting world.
