  • Scripture: Isaiah 6
  • When was the last time you volunteered for something and then realized you might have gotten in over your head? It could have been to be the team mom, a scout troop leader, or serving an HOA board. Today we are in the final week of our sermon series called, Questions from God. For four weeks we’ve focused on passages in the Old Testament where God asks questions of mankind. We’ve studied questions pertaining to spiritual location, seeing a job through, and the greatness of God. Today, Pastor Neal Benson looks at a man who volunteers for a role that no one else seems to want. A man who was willing to leave his comfort to serve the Lord. Isaiah will teach us that not all volunteer roles are glorified positions.

  • Scripture: Job 38
  • The book of Job is written like a play. There is action on two stages - what happens on Earth and what happens in heaven. While the present-day reader knows what is happening on both stages, the characters in the story (on Earth) do not. Job cannot see or hear what is happening in heaven, and in the end, he never even finds out why it happened. However, Job discovers who God is. Listen in as guest speaker, Joey Ross, teaches that who we become in the midst of a storm is far more important than understanding the storm.

  • Scripture: 1 Kings 19
  • In the past several weeks my emotions have looked similar to the stock market. Some days they are up and other days they are down. Some days I feel like I won as a dad/husband and other days I feel like a complete failure. When we look at the life of Elijah we see that he has some amazing moments for the Lord and some other moments that felt very discouraging. In 1 Kings 19 we read that Jezebel put a hit on his life and he ran from Israel. It seems he ran from his call to ministry. Listen in as Pastor Neal Benson teaches about how to listen to the voice of God during difficult times.

  • Scripture: Mark 14:27-72
  • Our world is in a global pandemic. People are suffering from job loss. Parents are learning what it means to be a teacher in their home. Online school is figuring out how to launch. Grocery stores are oddly empty and surprisingly full at the same time. People want to touch but don’t want to get sick. We are experiencing suffering like we have never seen before. In the Gospel of Mark we read that Jesus also suffered. Jesus was abandoned by His closest friends. Jesus was wrongly convicted of crimes He never commit. Jesus was beaten and mocked. In this life we will suffer; you can suffer with Jesus or without Jesus. Listen in as Pastor Neal Benson teaches about how Jesus is the Son of God.

  • Scripture: Mark 13
  • When you turn on the news, check your Facebook feed, or turn on the TV it seems that some people think we are in the end times. In Mark 13, the disciples ask Jesus to help them understand the End Times. Jesus breaks His response into a couple sections. First, Jesus talks about false signs about the end. Then Jesus gives the disciples real signs that the Temple will be destroyed soon. Finally Jesus teaches about what to look for when He returns. Jesus used their question to teach us about His second coming. We invite you to open your Bible to Mark 13 and listen in as Pastor Neal Benson teaches about the End Times.
