  • Our world is in a global pandemic. People are suffering from job loss. Parents are learning what it means to be a teacher in their home. Online school is figuring out how to launch. Grocery stores are oddly empty and surprisingly full at the same time. People want to touch but don’t want to get sick. We are experiencing suffering like we have never seen before. In the Gospel of Mark we read that Jesus also suffered. Jesus was abandoned by His closest friends. Jesus was wrongly convicted of crimes He never commit. Jesus was beaten and mocked. In this life we will suffer; you can suffer with Jesus or without Jesus. Listen in as Pastor Neal Benson teaches about how Jesus is the Son of God.

  • Scripture: Mark 13
  • When you turn on the news, check your Facebook feed, or turn on the TV it seems that some people think we are in the end times. In Mark 13, the disciples ask Jesus to help them understand the End Times. Jesus breaks His response into a couple sections. First, Jesus talks about false signs about the end. Then Jesus gives the disciples real signs that the Temple will be destroyed soon. Finally Jesus teaches about what to look for when He returns. Jesus used their question to teach us about His second coming. We invite you to open your Bible to Mark 13 and listen in as Pastor Neal Benson teaches about the End Times.

In Mark 12:28-44 Jesus teaches on three subjects – the greatest commandment, the divinity and humanity of the Messiah, and giving. Listen in as Pastor Neal Benson teaches on how to love, think, and give more like Jesus.

  • When we bought our home there was a kumquat tree in our backyard. It was planted between two other trees that were taking up all the light. This was causing the the kumquat tree to struggle for life, and we ended up removing it from our yard. In Mark 11 we read that Jesus told a fig tree it would never bear fruit again. This destructive miracle was a sign to Israel that they had failed to bear fruit. Jesus’ ensuing actions in the Temple were a sign of Israel’s internal corruptness. Listen in Pastor Neal Benson shares about our need to have faith in God from Mark 11:12-33.
